Designed by IMKM Architects and featured in Architectural Digest, Casa Loro sits far enough from the nearest fire station that fire performance was never a secondary consideration. It was the starting point. The villa’s sweeping thatched roofs, sculptural cones over the main pavilions and long sheltering eaves over the guest cabins, needed to deliver the organic, palm-thatched silhouette the design called for while meeting a fire safety standard that natural thatch simply cannot offer in a remote setting.
