Not every roofline at a private island resort needs to blend in, and the “Nut House” is proof of it. Its swooping, almost fantastical thatched gables curl and taper into hand-carved wood details, giving the residence a storybook silhouette that would collapse under the weight of natural palm thatch trying to hold that shape. Endureed’s Premium Capetown made the sculptural curves possible, with a looser, more expressive strand profile that reads as traditional South African grass thatch while flexing into architecture this playful.
