Viva Palm Costa Rica is a family-owned company made up of Mauricio Hernandez Muñoz, his wife Tara Scruggs-Hernandez and their son, Jacob Hernandez Scruggs. It came about when Mauricio, a builder by trade, discovered Viva Palm while searching for a high quality synthetic thatch roof for a project, and was so impressed that he and his wife decided to visit the factory in Lake City and find out more. Convinced that the Costa Rica market had a need for the Viva Palm product and impressed by the support provided by Endureed to its strategic partners, the family decided to partner with them and become distributors. Mauricio brings to the table years of experience as co-owner and client relations specialist of a successful construction company based in Guanacaste. Tara also has experience in client relations and design, and Jacob is currently pursuing studies in business administration.
