Kilimanjaro synthetic thatch replicates cape reed roofs.

Endureed’s Kilimanjaro synthetic thatch roof product was designed to replicate traditional cape reed roofs found in the East African country of Tanzania.

Tanzania is known for vast wilderness areas like the plains of the Serengeti National Park. Within the Serengeti National Park, you can find elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos. Kilimanjaro National Park is where you can find the continent’s highest mountain. Mount Kilimanjaro, officially declared “one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa” on February 11, 2013. It is a magnificent dormant volcano.  The mountain has three volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira. It is just one unique feature that makes Tanzania so beautiful. This area of the globe is the inspiration for our beautiful Kilimanjaro synthetic roof in our Regions Series.

Our Synthetic Cape Reed Roofs

With Endureed’s Kilimanjaro roofing material, we replicate the solid, heavy cape reed roofs that can be found in the region. With careful design and craftsmanship, we were able to create a product that genuinely looks and feels like authentic, natural cape reed. It looks just like thatched roofs in Tanzania.

Cape reed has been used for centuries as a roofing material for many types of buildings and structures. The downside to a natural cape reed roof is that it has a life expectancy of only six to 10 years. Not our environmentally-friendly, synthetic version though. Our Kilimanjaro roofing material comes with a 20-year warranty. All of our products do.
